As some of you know I’m currently a university student (just about to start second year) however, I’ve decided to leave my course to fulfill a gardening career full time, I already have a gardening job and I’ve just got a full time job in a very successful watergardening centre (where I also work already as gardener) and I’m not looking at doing a degree or some sort of gardening course to eventually start up a gardening business of my own! Sometimes we have to put ourselves first and follow our passions..

Well that came as a surprise Dan, at your age you have years in front of you to decide what you want, could even change directions again but in the future you might want to study again and get a degree of some sort, its never too late..Pleased you have a job and hope it works out for you....

I don't think you ever told us what your degree course was? There's nothing to stop you doing RHS courses from home in your spare time . More knowledge is always an advantage.

Best of luck

I agree with the others, good luck with the new venture. If your boss will let you have time off do the RHS courses as they will support your job and look good on references when you continue to advance your career. level 2 is equivalent to GCSE and level 3 to A-levels.

Best of luck in your new venture Dan

I don't blame you, Dan. A degree these days doesn't guarantee a secure job and it is quite shocking the level of debt youngsters face at the end of Uni days.

Stera and SG have the right idea. Later on in life you might feel the need to add to your knowledge. For now, follow your dream!
