Received this in a bouquet for my birthday would love to grow some, if only somebody could tell me what it is

And this little beauty is a Belriccio tomato of which I am very proud. I dare say lots of you have grown bigger but well this was lovely good looking and tasty, weighed in at almost a pound.

I thought this was a baby greenfinch, I sat and watched it call to it’s mother who duly came but it was a blackbird ??

My sunflower had the sunniest face I have ever seen on a sunflower just had to show you but it didnt photograph very well

I know the flowers a lily, because I looked at them this morning at the GC, however the name escapes me. Not much help. Sorry.

I think you were right the first time, the bird almost certainly is a "Greenfinch" just look at the bill. The tail and colouring are also Greenfinch. Don't know why the Blackbird answered the call.

The plant you mention looks a lot like a Nectaroscordum and that bird is definately a finch because, as Grannyb says, the bill is that of a member of the finch family.

I'm looking at the forked tail and wondering if it's a Linnet - we get flocks of 20 at a time here, lots of the other finches too but mainly them - beautiful petite birds.

Yes Nectaroscordum. I bought bulbs in the autumn and planted them and lo - they flowered! See if you can track some down and have a go. The tomato looks juicy and yum.

Your very lucky Louise to get flocks of 20 linnets, about 20yrs ago we had large flocks of linnets and redpoll, but now they are a very rare sight in deed.

The bird in the photo, lacks the blush pink tint, that's why I think it's a Green finch, even they are now quite difficult to see.

I live in the middle of farming country, where they should be, but today's modern agricultural machinery leaves very little for them to feed upon.

marshmellow: good one that's the lily I saw at the GC.
