The frost has come early in the northwest of England, minus zero again last night. I’m boiling the last of my beetroot, its a bit woody but still….dont like to throw anything away.
Boiling beetroot …sounds like a convenient expletive…
The bird seed has come into being early cause of the frost so there is lots of activity in the garden, pesky magpies thinking they own the place and the robin sat on the fence, waiting, watching, till they decide they have had enough, the bluetits have been sitting on my grapevine under the veranda roof, hopefully they will take up residence in the bird box there. Thought I would share these photo’s with you all of my 2 boys and their wives with just 2 of my grandchildren Jess and Darren at the beach and one of my favourite walks Blebell Wood just down the road from me.

Bluebell wood.....love it, D. Are you going to make some more of that delicious beetroot chutney you gave to me in the summer? It was really yummy....you ought to post the recipe :)

As always....love the photo on the sand dunes...lots of nice memories of their visit eh? x

Hope the blue tits use the birdbox too. They are lovely to watch in your garden...even to nicking the birdseed from the bag! lol btw....I love your style of writing...your blogs are really uplifting :) x
