Its been very dull and quite cold since Monday. We have seeds germinated in the trays on the window cill. I was at Aldi this morning and bought summer cauliflowers and lollo rosso lettuce. The caulis will not be able to go out before
the beginning of May.

OH has spent quite a bit of time in the front and its looking quite respectable. I planted all the daff bulbs out, once they have finished flowering I will dig up and dry off the tete a tete bulbs, they will be planted in the containers next year.

The azalea my friend gave me a number of years ago is looking a bit the worse for wear. I do not know whether to prune it and put it in the garden or prune it and repot it. My friend died several years ago, it has been such a joy each year its a fabulous colour.

One of my customer's has a huge Azalea in a huge pot. But, it looked like it had died last mid summer. My customer or her family don't get out and water it enough.I leave a little pot outside her back door to collect rainwater for it but they never seem to use it.However,it looked awful so I told the customer it was kill or cure time(if it wasn't already dead)I cut it back very hard and gave it an ericaceous feed. I couldn't put it in the ground as it's very alkaline soil there.
But, hey presto, this spring it has made a remarkable recovery and is full of new growth!! Still in the same pot!!

We have been away and when we got home it looked as if our garden had been 'frozen in time!' Nothing had changed at all, it must have been cold and dry I think.

It is a lovely morning here but wet weather forecast for the rest of Easter. Come on sunshine,we need you!

Its been an absolutely brilliant day here but apparently the weather forecast is terrible for the rest of the weekend, living in hope they have it wrong but just in case I have spent all day in the garden....
