Another Stunning Autumn Day! :)

Spent the whole day outdoors today and took some lovely photos of the garden in it’s autumnal coat. It still really looks quite colourful. I think that because the summer was so cold, the plants are just not yet ‘done’. They want to finish their cycle and are just hanging on in there. :)

I agree Karen. I have some Ruby Rudbeckia that Kath gave me from seed and I have put them in the greenhouse to give the large number of blooms a chance to flower. A frost would just wipe them out.

Perfect shot of the pond in the first picture. Its maturing very well isn't it? Its surprising how quickly it happens.

lovely weather for working the borders and stretching out the time we can enjoy outside. Off out into my garden today, no visitors - had a very busy week and not able to walk around it even. I have been full of cold and so has Lottie, so we have stayed indoors and kept warm and snug. Did pop into town with Sarah and Lottie yesterday and managed a Costa coffee. lol.

Your garden looks so loved and well laid out. Comparing my garden to yours I have got some seriously thinning out of my perennials to do! A pond, summerhouse is on my wish list too!! Thanks for sharing pictures of your lovely garden.

Snoopdog, I don't have lupins along the hedge, but lots of other wildflowers etc. I'm looking forward to seeing what it will do in the spring!

Thanks Linda, Steragram and Annie! Xxx

Mum, I'm sorry its not been a good week for you. Rachel was full of it the whole time we were in York. She was really struggling, poor baby! Take care...dont overdo it. X

Amsterdam, thank you. My garden is two years old at the end of this month. Thats why its not overcrowded....yet! The lifting and dividing of Perennials is hard work isn't it? Thats partly why I haven't grown many in the past. When we moved in, the garden was full of overgrown shrubs and perennials that had never been split. I had to remove almost everything and start again. Keeping on top of it all is almost a full time job for me...but as I love it, it just feels like 'playing outdoors'. :))))

It's nice to have some autumn colour Karen, especially after the awful summer you've had up there.
Your garden is looking established now and I like the fact that you have all the seperate areas/compartments.

Thanks Paul. Its funny...I can see the beauty of it better in my photos than when I linger in it. I just realised thats why I take so many pictures!

What a difference from when you first arrived! It is all looking very lush & not like autumn yet.
Down here it's been yucky, rain or drizzle & overcast most days this last week with a cold East wind that's now changed to a North one.
I've been like the fair weather lady & stayed indoors mostly.

I managed to get out for about half an hour today GF. The sun came out at 2pm and went away at 3pm! But never mind, I think the forecast is better for tomorrow. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Rose :)

You just amaze me. I could no more do such a fabulous job than fly to the moon. It looks perfect and so green, healthy and a joy to see. You need a long rest now... I did love the pics, and especially the hedge. Time flies when you are gardening, yes???

OH doesn't it just Posy? Thanks so much for your lovely generous comments. They have started my day off wonderfully :) x I am having an 'enforced' rest at the moment as we've had nothing but fog and rain for days.....sigh....cabin fever!
