The Garden Community for Garden Lovers

Thank you Kath!

Yesterday I met with Kath at Glamis Castle Walled Garden where she was busy weeding in the long borders. Sadly I haven’t been able to join her this year…what with the Puppy, the new Garden, the grown up children coming home to live etc. (you can’t give spare time if you don’t have any can you!?). But Kath has carried on with dedication and commitment.

Anyway, I wanted to thank Kath, not only for her work on ‘our’ borders, but also for all the wonderful plants that she gave me yesterday. What with all the Graduation Celebrations etc. I haven’t had time to take pictures of them yet Kath, but they will be on here soon. Thanks again dear friend, I was quite overwhelmed with all the goodies! :)) xx

That was ever so kind of you Karen and the pleasure all mine.

I know you will get more pleasure of them if they had been left in the cold frames.

I may also due to health reasons not be able to continue at Glamis .

Well done, all! I admire the dedication and hard work of both of you. (No patronisation intended.)

I am sorry if your health is causing you problems, Kath. I hope you will be able to continue enjoying your gardening. Commiting to something like Glamis, though, is a very big ask.

Volunteering at anything is always a big commitment, I spent hours nearly every day of the week for years teaching swimming to children and coaching teenagers and it can be quite exhausting. Not to mention the travelling to get to the places which were always nearly an hours drive away. So well done Kath and Karen, you have made a huge difference to the gardens at Glamis Castle they look stunning now. You must look after your health Kath you need to be well to be a gardener on that sort of scale. Hope things improve for you. Karen you have plenty on your plate chasing around after two dogs and that huge garden to look after the two sprogs at home and Scott not to mention the greenhouse is COMING lol you will have not time for volunteering lol. and now you have a hammock there is definitely no time for volunteering. lol. :O)

A hammock, by golly! You must make proper use of that, Karen!

You certainly deserve it after all your hard work.
