On The Beach...

Another lovely sunny day, and I remembered I had promised to take pictures of the beach, which is about 2 and 1/2 miles away from me.

Molly always gets over-excited on her way to the beach, and when we get there, she plays for ages, chasing the ball like a maniac, and eventually misbehaves herself when she gets tired.

Anyway, enjoy the photos!

Arriving at the beach this morning…

Playing….

…and playing

Used zoom to get this, and it is a very hazy shot, but here we have Tayport in the county of Fife on the left, with the lighthouse…and on the right is Broughty Ferry Castle on the beach in Dundee, Angus (Across the River Tay)

Still playing…can you see me?

This is facing out towards the open sea….Barry Buddon Lighthouse in the distance is on MOD land. You can only walk right around the corner here…to Carnoustie…if the red flags are not flying.

Still playing….

Still playing…but look how exhausted I am…..but I never give up…oh no!

Time to call it a day I think Molly! Before your little heart gives out….bye beach!

Thanks girls! Yes she's been asleep, while I've been busy....and now she wants feeding! She never asks for food at this time. Just proves that exercise just makes you hungry!! ;)

Thanks Melchi. I love the beach too. It doesn't matter what time of year it is. On a sunny day, the beach is always beautiful.

What a fantastic beach, just right for Molly...and you of course!
Funnily enough Bloomer and I met up today and we were saying you hadn't seemed to mention Molly much these days, or to put pic of her on your Blogs. Then what do I find when I logged on tonight? None other than you and Molly!
You both look to have had a wonderful day, enjoying the sunshine :)

Lovely blog Karen, its good to see Molly enjoying herself as you obviously did as well as we can see by your lovely photo's....Its been very sunny here as well today but a lot of difference in the temps and now its turned very cold with a clear sky so expecting to see some frost in the morning.........

How delightful,... it is a bonus to have the beach and the countryside on your doorstep. Molly must be in her element, the morning was rather chilly but it cleared and we had a another sunny afternoon managed to get so much done in the garden, all change again. Lol.

Tehe, were your ears burning Karen?

Can see you have it all Karen lovely countryside and the sea almost on the doorstep, no wonder you always sound so upbeat.

12 Mar, 2014

Karen we are so lucky with all this on our doorstep and another day wall to wall sunshine.

But anything can happen as well we all know.

Thank you Stroller :))). I am indeed very blessed, and I am thankful for what I have. Most importantly, I have my health at the moment, so I can enjoy life. That is the best thing. And I have learned that the 'trick' is to focus on what is right in front of me, at all times....whether it's the spade, or the laundry bin, and enjoy it, and be thankful, because as Kath says, we never know what will happen next. My MIL died last week, and she was never happy with what she had and consequently she was always unhappy, and didn't really have a life. I learned a lot from watching her. I believe that no matter where you live, and what the circumstances, there is joy to be had in the simple things. As for having it all....well, I don't have my family....I mean my Mum and my sisters and my brother, who are hundreds of miles away, and I have no relationship with my Dad. And when Scott's Mum died (we were never friends) I felt the loss of my own family very deeply. So no, I don't have it all, and I have faced a lot of failure and loss in the past. But I certainly have enough to be happy. :) Sorry, I didn't mean to sound as though I was chiding you for saying I have it all....just wanted to encourage everyone to enjoy what they have, because as Kath says....you never know what is around the corner. :))))

Wow, that's deep Karen, but I agree with every word. My philosophy is very much life is what you make it it's up to you to make the most of what you have. Dwelling on the past or on what we cannot change just eats away at us and makes us bitter and disillusioned.
OK soap box put away now :)

Yes, I am quite a serious person really, and a deep thinker. I try to be light and cheerful, because people generally prefer that, but sometimes my philosophical side sneaks out! ;)

You are so right, Karen. How sad for your m-i-l. Mine was the same, and missed out on so very much. After all, life is NEVER perfect so we must embrace every good thing we have. And the more we do that, the happier we are, I believe.

Thanks Melchi! :)

No Rose, it's been cold. This day on the beach was the best day, but the wind was bitter. It's about 12C today, but with the wind it feels like winter is still with us. March is like this though....unfriendly.

16 Mar, 2014

Just back from Edinburgh Botanical Gardens was windy but 15 deg Karen

16 Mar, 2014

Lovely place to be on a sunny day Kath. :) I've been planting, and I had to water. That wind is very drying.

16 Mar, 2014

Never mind Karen, the good weather will soon be here ! I hope !!!
