A brief encounter, freckles and a sore thumb......Part 1

Up early as usual this morning, washing on up to Tesco’s for a bit of shopping before it got too busy then to Homebase as they have some log edging on special offer.

Log edging located and loaded into my trolly now for some wood preservative as it had not been treated.

Whilst trying to work out if the tubs I was looking at contained preservative or malt whiskey by the price of them, a female voice behind me said " the same stuff was on offer at Wilkinsons for half that price" turning I was greeted by a very attractive young lady.
Why thank you I replied I will call in Wilkinsons on my way home.
Doing some quick calculating in my head I worked out that would save me £9 Mmm I thought I wonder if….
Being the eternal optamist I asked if she would like to join me for a coffee if she was not too busy.
" I would love to she replied, but my husband is in the next aisle buying some nails"
Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained.
Back home with my log edging and half price wood treatment I armed myself with a suitable paint brush and as it was raining set myself up in the shed. I hung the edging on a hook from the roof to make it easier to paint it.
My number 2 son did me a deal that he would make me cups of coffee when ever I wanted one if we could have a takeaway for dinner this evening.
