A couple of days ago Bob and i did our at least once weekly run up onto the beautiful Dartmoor (its only 17 miles away). Since moving to Devon (1979) we have completely fallen in love with this place, it amazes us nearly every time we go there, we always find something different.
Today we went up through the very famous (and photogenic) village of “Buckland in the moor” where property prices start at £500.000, Village pictures here

Here is a picture of its famous clock face (not ours) which says “My dear mother”

Then on to a couple of Tors “Haytor” and “Hound Tor”
This picture is as you approach the Tor.

Me on top

Looking down from the top

This is lovely bridge where we often picnic, its Bellever Forest.

This is what we saw just along the forest path.

Yes its a roe Deer

What fabulous photos - those cottages and that bridge are just beautiful. When were those cottages built?
