A Rare Sunny Day

Its been a lovely day here so have taken the opportunity and spent time outside, planted a few more things as the prospects are good now, for a while anyway. Took the inevitable photos, and decided to show them this way as it is easier. Thanks for taking a peek,

You lucky lady Cinders, the sun has just appeared in the last few mins, its nearly time for it to disappear behind my neighbours rooftop still good to see though, your garden is looking great and I love to take a wander with you...

You've a gorgeous garden Cinders - everything looks so lush!

Thanks all, you are all very kind and complimentary, and its appreciated. Just have to mow the lawns and finish off the edges, ready for the judging on Monday for the village flower show competition. A tough job to beat the lady that has won for the last few years, her garden is very formal and 'just so'. Whereas mine is a cottage garden, but its the taking part in these village things that counts. Karen my paths are very short, but you are welcome.

Lot's off beautiful colours, makes my garden look bare:-)

20 Jul, 2012

Moti, thats probably because I had been round cutting all the rubbish blooms off, but hey, not perfect .....

Sharnford thank you, my problem is that I just keep putting things in, so no bare patches and no weeds, just slugs and snails....

20 Jul, 2012

How lovely it all is. I really love that path across the lawn with little bites out of the circles - how did you so that?

20 Jul, 2012

Thanks Stera, we actually bought them like that. It is a bit different, and instead of a straight path we made it curved. I'm pleased you like it.

Cinders
You are a worthy winner with Goyer's regardless of what the judges say

21 Jul, 2012

Oh Brian, thats kind. That means a lot too.

21 Jul, 2012

Otter Nurseries ! I love it there. Always call in there on my way to the west country for lunch. Hope they have one there for you Groovyjan.

Your garden is always so pretty. I enjoy seeing your Heucheras. They look so healthy and thriving :o) That blue Clematis behind them is a wonderful colour. I bought a new Heuchera last week - Lime Marmalade ... I'm trying not to get addicted to them lol but not very successfully !

21 Jul, 2012

I love your garden Cinderella, so much to see...:))

21 Jul, 2012

Thank you Michaella, it is so full, would like a bit more ground, but not as much as you have. Getting too old for it now.

Glad you like my garden Hywel, those light coloured heucheras really light up the garden, you will be pleased with Lime Marmalade, but don't put that one in full sun as it will scorch. I put a picture of Strep Katie on for you today.

21 Jul, 2012

Looks absolutely stunning Cinders, I will keep my fingers crossed for the garden comp but you are a definite winner in my eyes:)

22 Jul, 2012

Hi cinders, your garden is beautiful, your hostas looks great I have to stand mine in a copper coal bucket to keep the slugs of them.

25 Jul, 2012

Thanks Taz. I have gravel all over the top, and put slug pellets all round the rim, then just have to do a daily slug patrol, but I think earwigs are another thing that makes holes in them.
