1983 to now.

Have just been browsing through some old photos and found one of what my garden was like when I moved in in 1983. There have been a lot of changes along the way, but I thought you may be interested to see some of them, so here goes…

One of our first tasks was to build an aviary as we had a lot of birds – budgies, etc.

Have missed out quite a lot of course, but it would go on for ever and I wouldnt want to bore you, so will leave it here….

Thanks, the quality of pics is not good, but it gives a little idea of what it was like. It was changed so many times, originally a sloping garden, so OH tiered it and made like two rooms with steps down. Can't change it any more now, but I am happy with it really.

Thank you so much Annella, it has definitely matured !

Wow, what a lot of work you've put in there Cinders. Is that a lovely Robinia tree with the pink blossoms? I love those...too cold here though.

31 Aug, 2011

Thanks Karen, yes it was a Robinia Hillierii, and it got so large it took over the whole top garden. But they are rather brittle branches and a lot of them got snapped off in strong winds, and in the end it just gave up the ghost. It was very pretty though.
