It would help if we knew a few details Chezell..for instance. how big is the plot, which way is it facing, what effect are you looking for, what sort of plants do you like. May be a pic of the plot would help....

I agree with Alice above. It would help to know. But also why don't you just try anything you like - experiment.

You could try sewing some sweet peas or sweet williams or Cantaberry bells. They'll flower next year for you. In fact it tells you on different seed packets when to sew them.

It's time to plant bulbs aswell. There are lots of different types of spring bulbs you can plant if that's the sort of thing you want.

I don't know much about vegetables but I don't think it's too late to sew raddishes and lettuces. I'm trying potatoes in big pots. Maybe it's a bit late but I don't care. I'm going to see how they do.

Think about the effect you want? height, colour all year round, evergreens, spring flowers, light, shade, soil type, and even use of the plot such as do you want wild life. high or low maintainance. Spend time in the plot and make a list of what you would like it to look and feel like. As the others said all these things help you decide on your planting planting.
