As I am sitting here, drinking my tea. The Sun is shining brightly at 8:30 am. So after breakfast I am going to get on with digging the pond. I think it’s going to be bigger than I fist planned. It is now 3 foot deep in the middle , 15 foot long and 10 foot wide, with lots of ledges.
No wonder I could not grow anything in that patch of ground. I have dug through house bricks, rubble , glass and now to the clay.
I Just have some straightening of the ledges and I will be ready to line it, (thats going to cost me) !
I am getting too the fun bit I already have a pump and filter in the shed its been there, in a box for 8 years. It was given to me, so lets hope it all works when it comes to it.

One coffee a day is enough for me. Just come in now,the black clouds have turned up. I guess another cup of tea and some of lunch. Then I best do some Internet browsing, for the pond underlay & liner. I have taken next week of work just so I can get on. But I expect it will rain all week.

Looks like there's been a lot of hard work here, and still more to come. I'll look out for the progress pics :)

That's great ! I like to see a pond in a garden. By next summer it will look lovely :o)

As predicted the pond liner and underlay arrived this afternoon. Lets hope I can get out there tomorrow. With all this rain it will be filled in before I get the liner in.
