Oh BA that's very sad. But the hellebores will recover wont they?

Oh bless your heart, they are gorgeous Ba and yes I'd feel exactly the same way, surely they'll all perk up and you'll be admiring them again when the sun shines...Fingers XX, the dratted birds like mine and leave me with just the centres....GRRRRRRRR.

Such a pretty trough too! If I were you I'd put some fleece over it at night.....I'm sure they'll come back again, gorgeous colours you picked....:)). It's been such weird weather this spring, everything is late, my potted bulbs haven't moved for weeks....:((.

We had very low -temps here too Ba, a lot of my garden looks like your trough and it's very disheartening. I hope your lovely Tutu makes a good come back :o)))

I too have Tutu out in the border and it has been hit by the frost Tutu (sorry) it soon perks up again after the sun shines on it. Do not think that the primulas look like they will, but if they survive then next year they will flower for you. Think they suffer badly because they are reared in the warmth of the greenhouse and then we try to put them out without hardening them off. It is down to patience and not wanting colour too quickly in the garden. I have learned over the years after many many mistakes. Hope they survive for you.

Now look here Scottish...I don't think you're taking these disasters very seriously:-)
Thanks for your sympathy Sticki:-)
Lincs, is it your primroses the birds eat or hellebores? :-)
Janey, I wish I'd have thought of that for my primlets, I just thought they'd be ok like those in my garden ...doh:-)
Annella, the largest of the two Tutus is looking better as I moved it to the space between my house wall and fence:-)

What are you like BA that`ll teach you not to be so impatient says one who has two pots of primroses looking exactly like yours.lol.
BTW look at my latest pic - and eat your heart out !!!.

Olive, I'll forgive your pun lol. You're right about impatience ...I was desperate for colour:-)
Hi Gralew, this March is a pig isn't it, this time last year we were enjoying quite high temps ...but had a rotten summer .... I wonder if we dare hope that this means a scorcher?:-)
I wonder when that will be Sandra, we're all desperate for sun aren't we? .... Those three sunnyish days were just to taunt us:-)
Thanks Sheila and Louisa, soon be spring proper ..... pleeeeeease:-)

Phyl, they looked lovely for a few days lol. I blame everything on you, especially the weather ....all was fine 'til you 'made plans' lol. Also you've put me to such shame with all your endeavors that I dug that flippin' viburnum out on my own, took hours. I've also bought a new lightweight drill and have assembled and put up a corner shelf unit in my bedroom and will do the other today. The power of shame:-)

I'm sure they will all pick up again! I expect spring will get here eventually!!!

I hope so Rose thanks-)

The birds like my primroses Ba, saying that they are leaving my few crocus alone.....

17 Mar, 2013

I find the wood pigeons eat the violas on my little front garden and the sparrow types prefer primroses on my back garden lol. I no longer grow crocus:-)
