END OF JULY, PLENTY OF COLOUR.

My computer/Fuji Film picture file has been playing up since a friend got rid of Norton for me so I can’t access Finepix to upload to GOY (foreign language for me) so forgive me if there are some pics the same please. Nothing is more frustrating than spending days trying to fix a problem on a pc is it. I had to use Microsoft Wizard to load these from my camera …no idea how I did it lol. Won’t let me system restore either grrrr:)
Garden at the end of July. The roses have taken off now after all that rain ruining their display. This is Mama Mia Oprah Winfrey’s favourite according to Apuldram Roses. Isn’t she lovely. Here with Lavatera Barnsley:

Geraniums Ann Folkard and Rozanne … time to split methinks:)

Colutea Arborescens with a beautiful, but unsmelly Flower Carpet rose

I’ve managed to get lots of gardening done these last few days and I’ve been ruthless. I’m taking out anything that doesn’t please me ….heart of stone from now on:-)

Your garden is bursting with colour, BA and looking great. Did you cut back the hardy gs after first flush to have them flowering so profusely now? Love the mix of Shasta daisies, hemerocallis, achillea, eryngium etc. - really pretty.

Beautiful garden

Thanks Tuesday bear, I don't do anything with the geraniums, these two varieties flower for ages and this year they've grown MASSIVE each single plant covering about 6 square feet, must be all the rain:-)

Oh, will have to get some. Love geraniums - such 'good do-ers' and so unfussy.

Ooh, what a wonderful selection of plants you have Ba.....gorgeous colours, love the geraniums and the crocosmias....perfect seating spots too.....just lovely!...:o))

Beautiful, lots and lots of colours..love it! :)))

Looking lovely but don't see much evidence of you being ruthless...can't imagine where the gaps are in such a lush abundance of plants and flowers :-D

I love your pond, great design and use of plant material.

That is a beautiful garden,Ba..so much structure and colour..I love it..it is a real credit to all the work you have done in it..and I like the pond area very much..:o)

Lovely gargen BA - hope you're very proud of it!

29 Jul, 2012

Its really looking good Ba, so much colour to admire, it does a garden good to be ruthless sometimes but my problem is the fact that I can never throw things out so end up moving spare plants elsewhere which then overcrowds another part, lol....
Photo`s are lovely....

What a wonderful colourful garden :o)

so much color. Love the geraniums!

Thank you Drc and Janey, I was despairing earlier this month:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Thanks michaella and Julie, I dug out a Solanum and chaerophyllum the other day, well most of the chaerophyllum, I'm still trying to get the rest out...it had gone berserk and although it's ok, I feel I could use the space better:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Thanks Dianne, Pixi and Diggin for your kind comments:-)

29 Jul, 2012

My head's getting bigger Bloomer, after what you say ...I'm going to pat myself on the back:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Sheila, I do feel amazed to have such a lovely garden. I copied lots of ideas from GOY:-)

29 Jul, 2012

I've always been too soft to kill anything Lincs ....even lily beetles ...but not this year. If anything doesn't look good or earn its place....out it comes. I've stamped on lily beetles along with my guilt too. Can't kill slugs and snails though:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Thanks Hywel, it all perked up with the sun:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Thanks Laurum, they just look after themselves:-)

29 Jul, 2012

Everyone deserves their moment of glory,Ba..this is yours! :o)...

29 Jul, 2012

Wow, its looking great BA, so much colour.
Im halfway through being ruthless in mine, its like a jungle out there!
Hopefully weather wont be too bad this week & I can get some more done. If not I'll pop up & have a glass of vino with you on that beautiful patio :-)

29 Jul, 2012

What a lovely colourful garden you have Ba. Very nice indeed. Love the roses.

29 Jul, 2012

Soooooooooo much colour BA...I'm so jealous..lol!
I like how you say a stone heart from now on - how long will that last?
Your garden is gorgeous!

29 Jul, 2012

Eh up Willi, you're very welcome, red or white? The beautiful patio isn't really and needs cleaning, could you bring a power washer or something when you come?:-)

30 Jul, 2012

Thanks Cinders, I never thought they'd do much this year after all the bashing they got from the rain etc, but come the sun, came the roses:-)

30 Jul, 2012

Hiya Scottish, can I be a colour expert too?:-)) All this good weather has kept me away from pc, no idea how I'll catch up. Going to buy nippon today for the ants in the porch.....see still ruthless. I do admit to feeling bad about it though, but the blighters will be in the house next, if they're not already, I'll just not have to think about them in their death throes under my very feet ...Oh life is hard :-(

30 Jul, 2012

gorgeous views! love the seating area and I want the patio open doors - all so well presented , the pond has lots of interest and very colourful garden

30 Jul, 2012

Thanks Paul, the only problem with the patio doors is that occasionally a bird will fly into them. Normally just stunned momentarily, but rather upsetting:-)

30 Jul, 2012

Rose wine BA thankyou :-)
I dont think I'd trust myself with a presure washer around all them beautiful plants! Lol.

30 Jul, 2012

Flippin eck Willi, you mean I've got to go out and buy a rosé (very feminine by the way) and you're not even bringing a power washer?:-)

30 Jul, 2012

Feminine! Ha.
OK just knock up a jug of Pimms & if you stand between the washer & the plants I'll do it :-)

30 Jul, 2012

You're on:-)

31 Jul, 2012

Your gonna get wet! Lol.

31 Jul, 2012

O my God, that is wonderful with colour and style.

31 Jul, 2012

Thank you so much Johnjoe :-)

31 Jul, 2012

Colour and Style guru now BA :))))))

31 Jul, 2012

Indeed Scottish .... there's no holding me now:-)

1 Aug, 2012

Right, having seen that lovely seating on the patio, i'm just setting off to sit there and have a glass of something delicately chilled and refreshing - preferably also alcoholic :o)

4 Aug, 2012

You're welcome Jane:-)
