SUNDAYS DEVASTATION:-(

Sunday was a day of wind and rain and caused quite a bit of damage in my garden

Super poppies flattened

Helianthemum Wisley Pink looked lovely last week, not now.

My tree lupin was very upstanding last week

Not now:-(

Even Geum Totally Tangerine has even had a bashing:-(

I put this out to get a bit of rain and forgot about it, very bashed about:-(

I hope they all recover, maybe with a bit of sun?:-)

Its much the same story in my garden BA. I think its because we both like the tall airy fairy type flowers. My poppies look like theyve been through the hot wash as well! Hopefully it will all calm down and Ill try putting a few twiggy branches through the plants to help them stand up again. :(((
Anyway its not all bad - I can see plenty of buds lining up on your beautiful plants ready to take the place of the ruined ones. :)))))

What a shame its sad to see when they have been doing so well, I do hope they soon start to recover, its quite a nice day here, the sun as been out a lot and helped to dry everywhere up after yesterdays rain!

Thats such a shame Ba, our gardens are taking a bashing but ours is heavy rain and hailstones again, its the town festival as well, Saturday was alright for the floats but yesterdays funday was a washout on the meadows and we`ve just got soaked at the food and craft festival, we have a rock concert on tonight ending with firework display to coincide with the lighting of the town beacon so fingersxx for later... Typical english weather, good job we have english attitudes as well, talk nicely to the plants and celebrate regardless, lol...

Sucha shame Ba,its sunny here now but yesterday was sheeting icy rain from the northeast, because we are so open to the northand east I do most colour in pots and they are sheltering in the gh for the forseeable future....

Same in my garden too, i felt like crying this morning when i saw all the poppies and daisies just lying horizontaly, im hoping a bit of sun will perk them up again, its so annoying this blooming weather:-(

It makes you feel sad after all the hopes and dreams to see the plants bent and blown, but I guess a good spell of sunshine will get them reaching for the sky again - and just to remind you you didn`t like that super poppy anyway.

i hope they perk up and look better again soon

So sad BA, I've had afew broken stems & heavy drooping with the weight of the rain :-(

I found broken aquilegias, the very tall purple ones after doing this blog. The only upside is, I have some flowers in a vase now:-) I tied part of my cotinus to the fence post as the branches had fallen somewhat and I have a lovely white large flowered clem climbing through it. It's holding so far, but more wind and rain is forecast for today. I hope it's not as heavy as Sundays. We had very short spells of sun yesterday, but on the whole, it was miserable. Not too sure whether I'll go to Gardeners World Live next week, I think it will depend on the weather:-)

Flippin eck...today was torrential and windy again..just as they had started to recover. This morning, after feeding the birds, I took a little stroll around the garden, doesn't take long lol and I had the hood up on my parka, but at least I was outside looking at the flowers. I'm just hoping for some sun now before my garden becomes a bog. Thank goodness I had the makeover or it would be one already. I suppose you've all had this rotten weather? :-)

same thing happened here..horrendous when you see it for the first time..and the you think nothing will recover..but, of course they do..great blog

Still raining Pam and wind, my ideas for front garden, lavender etc, put on hold lol they'd drown. This is because we had such a dry winter I suppose, has to come down sometime...prefer it in the winter though. Thanks Skip, I suppose if we get sun for any length of time they'll pick up. My cotinus is no longer covering the fence, its branches are touching the ground! Thank goodness for GOY:-)

Wind stronger than earlier here:-(
I've just been having palpitations renewing Norton...I find it so unnecessarily complicated and when it asked why I wanted to dump Norton ...I panicked lol thinking I'd clicked uninstall for the new one I'd just paid sixty odd pounds for! Still a technophobe I'm afraid:-)
