Peters Wedding Day.

Posted on 21 Jun, 2008 8 comments

With the rain lashing down and gale force winds forecast my thoughts turned to Peter and his new bride getting married in a field.
I m sure I wont be the only goy member who prays there was some break in the weather and that the ceremony was in no way spoiled.
Obviously Peter not expecting you to read this – worse still – respond whilst on your honeymoon , sure you got better things planned , just thought like to record best wishes today.Forecast was for rain moving North so hope were getting it all and you both managed to escape the worst of it.Best wishes to the happy couple.

I was thinking about them today too. I do hope their weather was better than ours, it's been like an autumn day here - windy, damp and chilly. Who lives in Surrey? Can you tell us what it was like there today? I do wish them both every happiness and hope they are going somewhere nice and warm (and sunny) for their honeymoon!

Just a quick comment to include best wishes along with everyone else, and hope the weather's kind too.

I echo all these comments. I took our children to the Royal Highland Show today. Forecast was right (for once). Glorious sunshine, but rain spreading in from the South by early evening (it is now torrential and is to last into Monday). As I was having a wee freebie taste of a lovely Islay single malt, I noticed 2 things: a lovely Drambuie-laced celebration cake and, in the near distance, that show garden from "Gardening Scotland" a few weeks back, called "Buddhas and Bagpipes". Thoughts of Peter and Akane came straight into mind! Hope that your months of preparation were not marred by weather, and "Slainte mhath!", as I raise my glass to you!

My good wishes to the happy couple too. Whatever the weather I hope all went according to plan and that they share a long and happy future together.

My best wishes also to the happy couple. I'm sure even if it did rain it would still have been a wonderful day!

Hi everyone, and thanks for all the kind words :o) We've not been away (the trip to Japan earlier in the year was a pre-wedding honeymoon) but we've been busy sorting out after the wedding!! We're just about on an even keel now. We were lucky with the weather and had a fantastic day!!
