Happy day

By bloomer

After all the wind and rain, yes,we did get it eventually, but today is still very windy ,but mild and a bit of sunI have been out in the garden,I have now had to prune the tops of my roses,as they were were showing signs of wind rock.So they are now firmed in again. My favourite rose is a Floribunda called Fragrant Delight and lives up to its name.I have 3 more, which I took as stem cuttings about 4 or 5 years ago,and this year they have now made a good root system, and have been lovely. So I have been happy today,to get outside.
The other reason I am happy is because our daughter and her partner are expecting their first child in april, and went for their second scan yesterday, and all is well,so are really looking forward to our first grandchild.
Roll on Spring. Can’t wait to buy some little wellies, seeds etc! —never mind about toys,:o)) I think i am looking ahead a bit yet though!
I usually go Line dancing YEE HAH ! on thursday, but gave it a miss,as I preferred to be outside today,as it hasn’t given a very good forecast for tomorrow, more rain and wind,I think.Hope you haven’t suffered any long term damage to your homes and gardens this week.
Take care, Sandra

Hi Sandra...
I'm pleased this was such a happy day for you in the garden with your roses, and the wonderful news of your daughter and partner... little it ! Lol.

When you say you have three more, do you mean of the Fragrant Delight taken as stem cuttings, or are they of other roses ?

Thank you all for your good wishes.
Sorry TT,I haven't got one of the rose,as it was only at the bud stage when I took the garden photos,at the end of May.Ionly have a photo when we used to have them developed, before I was able to download them.I will remember for next year---a long time,I know.
