Recorded for when we get home. It was good last week too.

Didn't expect me to see this did you? The wonders of modern technology.....when it works!!

I saw it and enjoyed the scenery very much,

their presentation iritated me though, they kept alternating finishing each others sentences. .....bit like watching tennis!
betterwhen they presented on their own.....

Missed it sadly, especially as we are having a break in Kirby Lonsdale in June......will look on I Player.

We watched it Sandra it brought back lots of happy memories , we had a caravan just outside Skipton and Malham Tarn/ Cove was one of our favourite places;0)

I'm glad some of you watched and enjoyed it,and I'm sure those of you who can see it on I player, will like it too.
Rievaulx Abbey is well worth a visit, and owned by English Heritage..free to members..not to be confused with Rievaulx Terrace, nearby, and belonging to the NT..also free to members..It's very nice, but of the two ,we preferred the Abbey..so we paid the entrance fee
......
Chris,..No,I didn't expect you to see this today..wasn't there enough to see out of the train window ?? Lol

Carole,we haven't been to Malham for a long time..it used to be a Sunday drive out..Did you ever climb to the top? not up the rockface,I presume ! Lol..we took the easier way..fantastic views up there..don't think I could do it now ! :o)

I watched and really enjoyed it. I loved seeing the yards which once housed the poor and now are quite desirable.

All the times we have been to Whitby,Denise, and we never knew they were there..wasn't that interesting? I will certainly check them out, next time we visit..

16 Apr, 2015

I have it recorded :) sounds great!

I am sure you will enjoy it Karen..I certainly did..but then again it's my territory ,so I'm a bit biased..and proud :o)

So you should be Bloomer, I remember holidaying withanother couple, we bothhad open top M G B's.....remember driving across the moors with the heather in flower, all you could hear were the bird and sheep, we stopped b&b where we had ended up and navigated by cake shops.....onenight in Hutton le hole I think it was
where the sheep were grazing on the verges outsid the cottage
Gods own country indeed

17 Apr, 2015

We have never stopped off in Hutton le Hole,Pam,as we usually call in at Pickering or Thornton le Dale, for coffee,en route to Whitby..We might try there instead,,next time we go..There is a place called "The Chocolate Factory" there now..all the more reason to try it out :o)It's quite usual to see sheep grazing on the verges..we have them on the busy main road over the Pennines, going towards Manchester,as they live on our moors, and have no road sense whatsoever...it does make one slow down..well,most people..!

17 Apr, 2015

Mmmmm Chocolate factory......I think you must go on a fact finding mission and report back!
sheep are 'wooly headed'🐑

18 Apr, 2015

I will let you know if it's worth a visit,at some point..:o)
Lol,about the sheep ! They just stare at you, willing you to stop !

18 Apr, 2015

We kept few sheep at one time, they were Shetland sheep, we had them from lambs and bucket trained them, they were very friendly and put their front hooves on your chest like dogs......they adored digestive biscuits, not daft really, just scatterbrained at times 👀

18 Apr, 2015

That made a nice treat to their usual feed,Pam..Happy little sheep :o) .Fancy them being able to show their thank you's by giving you a cuddle :o) xx

19 Apr, 2015

Sam the ram didn't cuddle, he delighted in catching you just behind the knees......i distracted him with apples, he liked you to hold it for him.....happy days

19 Apr, 2015

I think you should have given Sam a red card,Pam,sneaking up on you like that :o) He sounds as though he was really spoilt..:o)

19 Apr, 2015

They all were Sandra, more like dogs than sheep......except they had a 6th sense when it was shearing/dipping/ hoof trimming time and they'd scatter to the four winds!

20 Apr, 2015

Not as daft as I thought then :o) Our dog used to do that, when it was time for a bath..how do they know when you turn on the tap,it's meant for them ? Lol

20 Apr, 2015

They read our mind!

a sense we've sadly lost......or may be not!
imagine if we always knew exactly what the other person was thinking ......and they read ours too 😨

20 Apr, 2015

That would be like my worst nightmare,at times :o)
