What a lovely painting - you are lucky! I believe that the story of Beddgelert, though a great tale and very heartwrenching, is very sadly not actually guaranteed factual - something for the tourist trade, even though you are shown the grave pf Beddgelert. That is a wonderful view from your window, it must be very windy up there!

Thats a smashing painting of one of my favourite places for a visit, I know the story off by heart, in fact one of my girls bought me a placque of the story many years ago just to stop me insisting on visiting Gelerts Grave each and every time we went there, lol.

Gosh Sandra you were quick off the mark putting this blog on!yes we had a great time and are still feeling full after the superb meal, even Harry has resisted looking for something for supper, just a bottle of red wine lined up for later. The photo has come out well, not down loaded mine yet. hey trust Harry to get in on ours, he had a good laugh when he saw it.
Just want to thank all the members on Goy who have made such nice remarks about the picture I painted for you, I will be inspecting it when we come up to see you lol Enjoy your evening with little Thomas and give him a big hug from me;0)

I'm glad you had another wonderful day out with Carole and Harry , the picture from Carole is as always fabulous , Beddgelert has always been our favourite place to go walking when the children were younger , we loved that story , in fact the children use to sing a strange made up song about it in the car it has special memories for us ... there's some lovely walks up there in fact you have made me want to go back or will I miss the children not being with us if we did go ?

Thank you everyone,for all your lovely comments..days like this are very special,and with the weather being so favourable ,we have been able to meet up a lot more than last year..such a lovely sunny day too,but very cold...I knew you would all like the lovely painting..a very talented lady,as you have remarked many times ,on them all...It seems a lot of you are familiar with Beddgelert,and its legend,glad it has brought some nice memories back for you.
We love this part of Wales too,well..all parts really,but we are nearest to North Wales,so think it could be time to pay another visit..
Carole..I did it as soon as we got home,as Russell was going for the 'Whirlwind' around 5pm..so no chance while he is here..He has been good fun tonight,and went to bed like a little lamb,around 9pm..when we tired him out..not a murmer..I thought he might not settle,now he is more aware it's not his own bed..but he had his special little cuddly toy ..a green Lizard,of all things! Lol.
Just having a bit of chill out time ..and might have a little snack now..teatime passed us by,after that lovely meal..:o))
By the way,Hywel..no,I can't pronounce it..it took me all my time to spell it...had to look it up.! Lol.
