I have now got to the last tour around this lovely place..outside..in the sunshine, and warm ! This is the area I would have stayed longer in,time permitting, and we saw lots of it,but I wanted to browse more, and just take it all in..here we go…Straight to the Dahlia’s..OK,Amblealice? Lol….I warn you all, this is quite a long blog..
Starting with our first views, approaching them,WOW,was my reaction…planted en masse..and so many varieties..

some close ups now,I loved this first one..I think it was called Festiva..

This is the Information Board, naming them, which I thought was a brilliant idea, and hope it may help you to choose one,if you see one you like..I had to take it in two parts,as it was too long to see clearly ,and get it all on.sorry,I think I got most of them, but I missed the heading off.
The second pic is a bit further away, but if you do what I did,and get close to the screen ,or a magnifying glass, you should be able to read it ! Lol…My eyesight isn’t good, but I managed ok
This is what it read..
Which are your Favourites?
Species…Those occurring naturally,
or Cultivated Hybrids,old and new..

Time to move on,and see the rest of it..
Beautiful display of a wild meadow…on the way to what is known as the Zigzag..as it winds round to another inside area.." TheCore "

It starts with Grasses…for Paul..Lovely borders, and then lots of little gardens round every corner….delightful, and unexpected..

Some poser, getting in the way!Lol…The bridge in the background leads you back into the Entrance area, and shop..via a lift from a cafe in The Core building..very welcome,as it is all uphill going back..

This is WEEEman…something else to make you think about the Environment.

ooh,scary..!

That is almost the end of our journey,so going in for something to eat now,and a cuppa..It’s 2pm,and we have been walking around for three hours, except for a coffee break. We are now entering The Core, which is home to their Education, arts and events hub.So much to see here, but sadly, not enough time..we went straight upstairs to Jo’s cafe..and I would highly recommend it here..Lovely homemade food, with lots of choice, from full meals to snacks and cakes..and not as expensive as we thought it would be..very good portions too.
You must be ready for a break too..and this was just to die for…a lovely cream tea..and you helped yourself to homemade jam,and clotted cream..:o)…Amy,are you looking ? Lol. Please excuse the windswept look…from the gale blowing into the Rainforest entrance..and realising I forgot my comb ! ..

Well, folks, that’s it ..I hadn’t intended it to be four blogs long, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave anything out..I have enjoyed doing them, very much, and reliving a wonderful day out.I hope it has given you an insight,as to what to expect, and if you do go,I wish you a day as good as we had..thank you for taking the time to read them..Sandra xx

Thank you Sandra......the last of your lovely blogs. I feel as if I was there with you (wish I had been!)...What a good idea the "story boards" for the dahlias; what a wonderful sight too! thank you for thinking of me....and all the other dahlia lovers on GoY....there are quite a few of us I think. They are so easy to grow and are flowering away when everything else is looking tatty!!
You can go and have a rest now and be happy that I'm not nagging you......till the next time that is!!...lol.......

Thanks so much for the final part of your Eden tour, Sandra, they've all been so interesting ... I'm beginning to have a few Dahlias in my garden ... not quite as stunning as the displays you saw! ..... Re. the board naming them ... did you know that if you press the Ctrl key (bottom left) and press the + or - key (top right) you can maximize or minimize the screen? ... Just remember to put it back unless you want HUGE print all the time ... lol! The wild meadow looks great and I'd love one or two of those ammonites in the garden ... lovely blog ... thanks for sharing ... give yourself a rest now ... lol! ... :o)))
