You seem to have got the hang of this new camera Sandra. Beautiful photographs of lovely flowers. I agree you sometimes have to get up close to appreciate.

We should all look closely at our flowers, from the smallest to giant sunflower heads they are all so amazing. The colours, the structure, the pure beauty all captured in your photos.

Since I began embroidering flowers, I have come to really appreciate them for what they are individually. Colour and how it changes in various lights, shape, structure whether they are dainty or robust. Now, instead of rushing around just weeding or watering or whatever, I often stop and REALLY look at a flower that is close by - and any insects that happen to be on them. I get far more pleasure from gardening this way even though gardening 'chores' often take twice as long to finish!

Thanks Lincslass...I am like a thing possessed, and always looking for things to take a pic of...mind you, there have been lots of deleted ones as well.! ha ha.
Gee thanks, Lou..got some lovely Dahlias I took specially for you,at The Eden Project..it might be a while before I get round to doing a blog, and may be in three parts..so much to see there..wonderful.I have all Russell's pics to sort through as well...watch this space..eventually !! ha ha.
Thank you Kfunsters..that is a lovely comment, and I totally agree ,we should look closely at all of them..
My sentiments as well,Digginfit, especially as you need to get it right in your embroidery..I used to do that as well,in my teens..and enjoyed it .I still have embroidered linen tablecloths, that my late Aunt used to do,and sadly, they never seem to get used these days, but I can't bear to part with them..
