For Hywel,..Holiday aboard !

As Hywel expressed an interest about the ship we went on,I hope some others might like to see the floating hotel, which took us to all the lovely ports of call, shown in previous blogs. This was our home for two weeks. We left Palma, Majorca around midnight, and it was lovely to see Belver castle and the Cathedral on leaving.

So off we go,and this was the sail away party on the centre deck,so a good start!

Time to have a look round the rest of it.This was our cabin..very spacious and comfortable..and quiet !

Time to have a look around. This is the entertainment lounge, live music, quizzes etc.A bit loud,so we only went through it to see the nightly shows in the theatre..much nicer…

Piano lounge and bar..for a quieter drink..

A games room,and casino..gamblers paradise..!

A lovely display of ancient artefacts on the wall.

Now for the shopping mall..very nice but expensive..and somewhere to browse. All the inevitable photograph’s were displayed here too, encouraging you to buy, which are taken as you get off at each port, and gala dinners..must say, some gave us a giggle..especially ours:o)…didn’t buy any !!

Up to the top deck now, with a lovely pool and Jacuzzi, and another dining room ,used for breakfasts and afternoon tea..Our favourite..

See what I mean about our favourite?..Lovely scones!
Russell tucking in..mine had already gone :o).but they were only tiny.Lol..

Still on the subject of food, this is the main waiter service dining room.We didn’t dine here every night,as we enjoyed the buffet one just as much.It was more of an evening out,and we didn’t always feel like a 4 course meal. Also we liked to relax before going to a show.

The shows were exceptional, considering they were the entertainment crew, and very professional, and a different theme every night.
The last pic is of the ships crew, and they were fantastic too. They really looked forward to entertaining us..a night off for them:o))

This to my mind, was the highlight of the week. The midnight Buffet Magnifique. The skills and talent of the chefs were amazing.Just look at the sugarcraft displays. All the staff were beaming with pride, and it was a pleasure to enjoy it with them.

These are my two new friends !..no cracks about who is the dummy!!!..Lol.

Well thats it,back to Majorca for the flight home.

Hope you haven’t found it to long, but it was hard to choose what to include and what to leave out,so you got most of it..Lol.

Really enjoyed this cruise ... it's the only way I'll ever go on one! Like Joan, I'm ok on a little 'round the harbour' trip, couldn't go on a ship so huge! The attention to detail on the food presentation is amazing. Pleased you had a great holiday too. : o ))

thanks for the tour around your cruise ship Sandra, it really is lovely. I really liked your cabin too, it looked really comfy. We were lucky in that our daughter was a singer was a singer who worked the cruise ships and we had a couple of holidays on board so we could visit her. We always come home completely refreshed. :o)

Joan and Shirley,I am just the opposite,I'm not keen on small boat trips, too rocky and near the water for me..but glad you enjoyed your tour round, thank you :o))
Sandra,we were really happy with the cabin too.Plenty of room. How nice that your daughter was a singer on the cruise ships..and even better that you could visit. One of the girls on the entertainment team, came from a village near us,..small world,eh? They work so hard don't they?
