I posted some pics of our nesting blue tits,at the end of May,and this morning they decided to make a break for it …
Russell got up at 7am for work, and saw two little ones venturing out.He ran to get the camera, but the parents seemed a bit anxious ,so he came back inside,as didn’t want to scare them…Where was I? ..in bed, still asleep, and he didn’t wake me ,as said he didn’t want to disturb me..I agree,it was thoughtful, but I was really disappointed I missed them, after all the excitement of watching them for such a long time.We don’t know how many there were,as he may have only seen the last ones.I will really miss all the frantic feeding by mum and dad,and have kept a look out most of the day,in the hope they may come to the feeders in the back garden.Oh,well, hope they are safe and well somewhere, and hope we get them nesting again next year,as it was the first time we have had them in our bird box,and it has been there at least 4 years….Have a happy life,my little friends…

What a shame, bloomer! I hope that they return next year and you get another chance. We were extremely fortunate to see our baby great tits fly the nest last week, I feel so glad that we were around when it happened. Pure chance, I'm sure. Good luck for next time, and wish me luck for next year too!

That's such a shame, Sandra, the early bird gets the worm you see, not the ones who lie in bed until 7 am...lol Kep watching out for them on the feeders, they may well return. Make a 'hide' for Russell to film them from ! : o )))

Yes ,San,he was trying his best to get some pics for me,so I could post them
on here,so his intentions were good..I wouldn't have had any pics at all if it wasn't for him standing under that tree for about an hour the other week.!!
all is forgiven.Lol.
Thanks for the tip,Bb,I will keep a look out for them.We have a quite a few neighbours who also feed the birds,so think it will be a case of who provides the best menu..:o))
