Out of puff !

It was such a sunny morning yesterday I decided to walk up the village to get a few things. As I went along I noticed the old coal tip behind the carpark and remembered how it used to look all dark and threatening. It isn’t now – It’s been greened up like all the others.
On top of it they’ve kindly placed a seat for all those weary climbers like me !
I decided to make the climb but didn’t think I’d ever get there – I was so out of puff, but I made it in the end.
There were lots of wild flowers growing on the old tip – nothing rare or interesting really, but they all looked so happy in the sunshine.

I think this is comfrey ? and I can’t get it to stand up (lol)
From the top of the old tip there are some nice views
This is part of the village 
The Black mountains
There was a time I’d have run up there and back down again, but now it’s as difficult to come down as it is to climb up !

What a lovely place you live in, Blodyn - I know the closure of the pits caused problems, but they've done a great job on the old tip. What a view!

I doubt that I'd have made it to the top, my little hill on the way to work takes all my energy - this old body betrays me, I keep forgetting that I am only 18 in my memory, lol!

My 86 year old mother sais she only feels 18 in her mind Grammazoo lol . I think she only acts 18 sometimes lol, Why grow old and miserable.

I feel the same way, I told my husband recently that we can't have been married for 33 years cause I wasn't old enough!

It so beautiful :) must be worthwhile making that climb that's for sure
