I didn't watch it, just doesn't seem to 'gel' with me these days.... we watched 'have I got news'--- laugh out loud funny---

I don't watch G.W. now either.
I hardly watch anything on the tv these days . I only keep it so that Beryl can see Emerdale Farm when she's here.

gave up watching that when the farm disappeared!! and the last time i watched coronation street Elsie Tanner was in it ''' :o)

I've never been keen on soaps.

No I dont normally watch it but wanted to see Malvern as I will not get there this year. Will have to realy on some photos from Louise and others close by

Arlene will probably have Malvern photos, so keep an eye out for her next blog...

I started watching GW from Malvern last night and I switched on the video recorder to tape it, because I thought the reason I wasn't enjoying the show was because I was so very tired ...
... seems I might not like the programme very much, even when I'm less sleepy ! ;o)

I've never watched Coronation Street ... or Eastenders ... or Emmerdale... :o)

You are a old lot of moaners LOL ..1 of the few Garden programmes we have
on the box, and you don`t watch it!!! I welcome GW for the tips, and new
plants, its great for Novices just starting their 1st garden...Come on, lets
be fair its not that bad....If viewers stop watching, they may decide to take
it off altogether....me for 1 will miss it...: >(((

I didnt watch it either no point as 1/2 way though I mentally switch off anyway. I dont watch soaps either I am a GOYer!!!

I watched it, can't remember much of it at all - that's how much impression it made on me. I did enjoy the garden of the President of the RHS - definitely my kind of garden.
It's more fun watching the 'Three Men Went to Mow' series filmed to show at the show by Joe Swift, Cleve West and James Alexander-Sinclair currently showing on Youtube.

Its sad really I am afraid Geoff.H and Alan .T are a hard act to follow.its not just the presenters they do what they are told to do, the producers must be rubbish.I would produce it myself in conjunction with a few GOY members
but no one asks me.
FreesiapersonThe program has always been good for newcomers to gardening and i am all for that, I grew up watching Percy Thrower (That was Previous life)
But like many others I find the format just does not work .
An example Carol last night showed us a few Roses and said later in the program she would go back to others on the other side of the showground,After that she showed Apple trees ,so i suupose that was cut to make room for the the old RHS chap in his garden of sorts.
Think I will complain to the BBC not getting much sympathy here, and it was my birthday this week. LOL

8 May, 2010

Well, let's all sing 'Happy Birthday' to cheer you up Grumpy ... lol
These comments have raised a smile to many Goyers, I'm sure, I don't watch soap operas, given up on GW since Toby et al appeared. I have just bought a grape vine for the new pergola from a local centre for disabled and am feeling smug at the price paid ... try to enjoy the weekend Bjs. LOL

8 May, 2010

I did watch it and I am resigned to the fact that it is for the 'mass viewing public' rather than the gardeners. Why else would there be stalls selling candles/soap etc. Its more of a lifestyle statement programme now.

Let me know when the wine has matured I will come and pass judgement on it .I dont charge.
