Love the first pic of the double flower Primula. Rest are lovely too but I love the primulas and purple/blue as some call purple flowers.

Bilbo
Most are perfectly hardy but normally buried under snow which is dry, her they have difficulty in coping with our wet winters certainly in the west of England.
you can see from my fingers how small some are mice squirrels slugs will all devour them outside and of course sleet and rain will destroy them.I do have some outside but best seen at this time of year under glass.

My mind must be on other things, Bjs, when I first read the blog title - "Garden and Alpine house" I immediately summoned up a picture of a ski chalet surrounded by flowers. Duh! Wonderful photos, though, and such vibrant colours. Isn't everything advanced where you are?

That settles it ! My Alpines are going into pots indoors
for the winter, outside on staging in summer shade.

I like Hepatica most of all. I admire you, how you rememeber that very long name...:)

These are real little gems, and that Helebore is to die for.
I was looking at some of the new Helebores today at Ashwoods nursery(John Massey) didn`t bring any home at £25. a pot afraid they were too expensive for me.

Good evening, Stroller. That is really expensive!!! Here the mean price of different Hellebores is up to 15 euros. But maybe BJS is reading this and he may make a deal with you - for reasonable price :)

I had the great pleasure of seeing all these yesterday and what a treat that was.
