Today is Jamie’s 5th birthday and this was to be recorded with a official photo in the garden the question was what position should he adopt for the photographer.

to hard to choose so we had all three.
We indulge him on special occasions so took him off to the Pub (not that I wanted to go) but Jamie insisted, He is well know in this particular one and soon a dish of ham was provided and quickly devoured (what a surprise)
Followed by of all things Apple crumble which went the same way,after a short rest and time to finish my pint
It was off to the fields to work off some of his calories.
After an hour or so of chasing and running I was tired out,so we retreated back home.
It was then it hit me where have those years gone ,scary.
While I rested i became nostalgic and thought you may like to see how it all began five years ago, they were born to Stradbrook Holly two doors a way from where i live and in the first few weeks took many photos while looking after them while the owner was at work.
There were 9 pups and all thrived with a good mother
very soon they were feeding them selves
Well i just had to have one even though i had never owned a dog in my life.This is his first day with me
And then it was all to much, But he had a new Mum that would love him.
Finally Mum herself Holly she is 9 years old now and still at her peak.
Jamie is Arguably the best friend i have ever had and look forward to many more years with him ,Just hope i can keep up with him.

He's a lovely dog....a spaniel I think ?.....Happy Birthday Jamie. To have an animal that you can love and who returns that love is something very special and I'm pleased you enjoy being mom to him.
I'm surprised he didn't get offered at least 1/2 pint at the pub though to wash down all that dinner...lol

He's adorable bjs ... happy birthday Jamie ... what lovely photos to remember his puppyhood.
I'm a cat lover now for no reason other than we work too much to give a dog the attention it craves but I used to have collies & I know what fab companions dogs are. :o)

Happy Birthday to you, Jamie, you're a very handsome boy but I shall not be showing your lovely photos to my husband as he so wants a dog ! He went to a talk last evening on 'Canine Partners', basically they're very well-trained Assistance Dogs and I quite expected him to walk him with a dog ! One day, Jamie, one day ... lol !

Homebird i am sure you canot replace him,but i guess it depends weather you are prepared to take another one to your heart and care for it.Jamie for me fills an empty space in my life i did not realize was there.
