I had a very handsome Acanthus that was surplus to requirements.Digging it out meant arriving some where in the Southern hemisphere.Not only that ,but every single tiny piece that broke off has taken root and I now have 50 thousand Acanthus give or take a few!!Much as I usually avoid chemicals ,I am now looking to find a "weed"killer that is man enough for the job.Hey ho.

Oh no! I've got an Acanthus! I didn't know they were so badly behaved! At least I now know how to curtail it's naughtiness! ;0)

I had a similar problem and found glycophospate type the best, though it took a couple of applications.
