I have a fair sized garden comprising of a small lawn, a stoned area with planters on it and a rockery which is 90 feet long and rises about 9 feet over about a depth of 9 feet ,pretty steep.It is planted up with mainly ground covering plants,spring bulbs,heathers, hebies and some primulars.It has been a struggle at times finding out which plants are best suited because the soil is very sandy and there are some well established trees running along the top soI have the added problem of roots which take a lot of moisture from the soil plus shade ,its a challange!!!.
