Peppers!

Okay, so as you all may or may not know, I sowed some pepper seeds about a month ago in a proporgator. Of course, it was so damned cold in my house that even the prop. didn’t seem to do any good. I figured “oh well, I’ve only sown about 1/6th of them, I’ll just try again next month when it’s a bit warmer and we have the heating fixed.”

And today, I went to check on them to make sure there were no signs of life before I started re-cycling the soils and trays.

And guess what I found?

That’s right! Tiny whitish green seed heads! They took a while, and there’s only about 1 in 20 germinated (at least so far) which is REALLY bad, but I wasn’t expecting anything at all; they need 15-20 degrees and they’ve been getting a solid 9-12, so I’m happy with anything!

does a little dance

That is great Anni that some are germinating - its amazing how plants will do their best even in the worst conditions.

Personally I tend to favour an odd cheerleaders macarena dance. Very peppy!
