I also have one nearby, and I find the plants very good and not any more expensive than the garden centres. They also hve plant clearances which are good, they had one recently to sell off surplus bedding plants.

Hi Marguerite, you make me envious with talk of temperatures at 26! I had hoped for a better summer here this year, but it just seems to be a repeat of last year, wet! and temperatures struggling to get to the high teens! Oh well, at least I don`t have to do too much watering, but I`d rather have some sun!

Welcome back... interesting to see how far on your plants are...mine are way behind! Must be the north/south divide! We saw a colatit in the garden this morning, a bit of a rarity for us, along with a woodpecker , even more of a rarity!

Hi, to answer your question about maine coones - they are very friendly, Over here they are known as BFG or Big friendly giant!
They tend to adopt one member of the family, the one who gives them most attention I guess and feeds them, although this is not always the case.
Because of their size most people are a bit apprehensive of them, but really they are very affectionate.
The only `bugbear` sometimes can be their fluffy coats, they are not as bad as persians but you do need to keep them groomed, a comb through a few times a week usually does the trick.
I would certainly recommend this breed as a pet.

Not sure on the variety, but I do know that I have had many occaisions when plants have been wrongly labelled, and what I thought I had bought turned out to be a completely different colour, can be very annoying!
Maybe yours is wrongly labelled?

I think the advice also is that you should get rid of the main plant after a couple of years as it deteriorates, therefor propogating the runners helps to build up new stock.
