Mines not a variegated one Spritz , I think it came in from up the lane because i,ve seen it in the hedgerow which worrys me a bit as I had some in my last garden it was on the point of smothering other plants in it,s way ....

Lovely Spritz , good pic. I have a friend who has such a large shrub that they cut and sell the branches to a florist for decorations etc.

Weeding you sound very well organised to me , a good choice of veg. I had a smile when I read the bit about the Broccoli , going back to when my daughter was at home , when ever I cooked Broccoli it didn,t matter how carefully I checked each piece my daughter always seemed to get the bit with the catterpillar in it ... lol ...I think it put her off for life ..
