You will lynne , Oh how I envy Katrina being a student in Cambs . I know they have to work hard but they enjoy themselves as well , I have some photos of the students and tourists punting on the river along the backs ... that use to be one of our favourite things .. we didn,t dare do it this time i,m afraid we might have toppled in ..LOL..

What gorgeous trees Amy. I've had a paperbark maple on my wishlist for about 20 years, lol.
There's an Arboretum close to us and they have some of the special silver birch like these and the Rubus bramble which is stunning in winter.

Thanks Dawn , I hope you get your wish for a paperback maple !
I would love to see those silver birches in the dark with a light silhouetting them showing off the white against the darkness ...
I hadn,t seen a bramble with white stems like that before , goes to show how spectacular these trees and shrubs can look without flowers ...

My wild Stocks are growing , it,s exciting to see them , I only put a few in a pot as I haven,t the water areas that you have ., are yours growing well ?

I know what you mean about the silver birches Amy, they would look amazing in the moonlight. We went to Euro Disney about 10 years ago and the planting there was amazing, lots of lots of these trees. That white bramble in the winter is outstanding, they take up alot of space but really are something else.
Yes, the wild stocks are going mad Amy :-))) They will need pricking out next week. I'll take a photo of them then.

wow what can i say that first picture especialy looks sureal brilliant.bye the way amy i got most of the elephant done at the guildhall and i will be doing the finishing touches very soon.im realy realy pleased with it.ive never done an elephant as im so in ore of them and it realy needed a background which i dont normaly do.i know i mite sound like im blowing my own trumpet excuse the pun but i realy wanted to do my faverite animal justice and i think even framed now ive captured the feal of the elephants pomp and majesty and its essence so it can only get better plus the frame allways finnishes it right of.as im that close to the finish i wonder if you have any ideas on the frame or if your happy for me to go with what i think.it was great seeing you the other day.i have written a blog with the ellynearly as it is now.take care bye for now amy your quite a photographer bye the way xx

Morning Leigh , glad you liked the pics.

It sounds as though things are really moving with the Elly pic. if you are pleased with it then i,m sure I will be as I now you have to get it right before you are happy ...
I will leave the frame to you as you are a much better judge of what suits it than I am , I will only say that we don,t have much very dark wood !
Take care ,have a nice day .. go for a nice walk with your lovely dogs :o) x

You will have fun deciding what to do with it ..... :o)
