This is where we have been for the last few days .
We have a caravan , we first had one when we couldn,t put our old dog Barney into Kennels anymore as he didn,t like it , it occurred to me that if we had a caravan then he could come with us . he loved it ,it really gave him a new leese of life he couldn,t wait for us to go off somewhere .
We always use CL ( Certified Location ) sites which means they are not allowed any more than 5 caravans , often you are the only one .
This caravan is brand new, we have a fantastic hot shower ,fitted microwave , TV, everything you could need .
Although Barney is no longer with us we still enjoy getting away .
This site is near our daughter and the grandchildren love coming to see us , you are allowed to fish in the lake .
The gentleman that owns it is very conservation minded and the environment is maintained with the wildlife in mind .
The field the other side of the lake is full of Orchids and when they bloom they are stunning ..

I had a caravan long time ago, i use to love going in it, and the kids, even now there grown up with gown up kids of their own still say there where the best holidays they have ever had, must admit i miss it, but i can't even drive, let alone tow a caravan.

Looks a lovely peaceful spot Amy....agree about the numbers.Not keen on being surrounded by lots of other people.Think "getting away from it all " should mean just that !

Amy ~ seems like you had a really good time in an ideal location....and nice that Barney helped you towards this different way of holidaying.
Wonderful to find places that aren't too busy and not over-crowded with too many caravans. :o)

It was a lovely few days , we use this site often as it,s near to our daughters , last year the children brought tadpoles that were turning into frogs which they had been looking after in jam jars , they released them in the pond near the lake , they still remember doing it !
I have been towing the van on occasions Clarice , I was worried that if hubby wasn,t well we would be stranded if I couldn,t do it ...
This is near the sea as well for walks along the beach when the weather is nice .
I often take the owner plants to grow round the place ,Diarama Fishermans Rod etc.

it was a lovely break , we went down to look at the new outer harbour that is being built costing millions , I can,t understand the logic of that as the coastline is disappearing in chunks ~~ every year homes are falling in the sea , there is a huge threat of flooding if the sea rises more , I suppose they must know what they are doing , I do wonder sometimes though .
Theres one thing if and when they run ferries from it to France we wont have far to go to get on it . :o)

Sounds like a wonderful place to "get away" Hope you had fun! We had a small RV(caravan) when the kids were little, it made going places so much easier!
