Kat make the Lemon cream Ice with the leftover egg yolks

You can adjust the size of the Pavlova using more or less eggs , sugar etc. also don’t use very fresh eggs they don’t whip up as well as ones that are several days old ..

Good luck

I hope I'm not going to be responsible for you all putting on extra pounds ..."not guilty m' Lord " ! it is excellent plus you can make the Pavlova days before you need it adding the cream and filling when you want to use it on the day ... put the layers in an air tight container or two with grease proof paper separating the layers ...

Chris the grandchildren always ask for the Lemon cream ice even if they have a choice of other ice creams , one little tip I heat the sugar in the microwave for a couple of minutes not the oven or grill ... I don't think so Waddy I couldn't get everything so perfect every time Lol ...

Bet she doesn't either, but we never see them.

Thanks for this Amy. I promised OH a Pavlova for his recent birthday, but (although his eyes lit up) he said, "Don't do all that work for me!" However, I looked online for a recipe, and one reader had had such trouble with making meringues that she said "Next time I'll buy them!"

I decided I'll make it 'properly' when I've enough time, but last week spread small bought meringues around a dish, keeping them in place with raspberry coulis, then filled the centre with strawberries and whipped double cream . . . 7 out of 10 for this lazy cook!

Sheila it really isn't that difficult If I can do it any one can ! 1. don't use very fresh eggs .2 make sure your bowl is completely grease free 3. add sugar a little at a time while you are whipping ... you must try it Just think how OH eyes will light up when you put it on the table :o))

Neither have I been to Venice!!
Have made pavlova many times as it is a very popular dessert in our family usually with raspberries or strawberries, as you say quite easy, but have not made the lemon ice cream which sounds lovely, and we do like ice cream .........so I will be adding this to my favourites...
Have just made Mary Berry cherry cake........and of course all the cherries are at the bottom, mind you I bet MB couldn't do that even if she wanted to, but I can guarantee it lol

You will love the Ice cream Angela, if our family are given the choice between bought or this home made they always ask for this one . I don't put the sugar in the oven to warm through I pop it in the Microwave for a couple of mins just make sure it has warmed right through as thats what cooks the egg ,don't leave it too long or it will burn ! Cherry cake sounds delicious never mind where the cherries are ...

Thanks for the tip.....the cherry cake was delicious, lasted 4 days!!
