Today we have been back to the garden centre where if you remember a couple of weeks ago almost everything was half price .

The first thing we noticed as we went through the gates was the brand new lorry ,

Sorry the photo has gone to the bottom , I don,t know why ! ……

Beautifully decorated with .. The Trotter Family ..from . Only fools and Horses fame .. I also spotted a Robin Reliant tucked in a corner I suspect it will be .. done up .. and used for advertising ….

We had gone there to buy a Victoria Plum Tree to replace the one which had died last year

This is where it will be planted.

I also bought a Leucothoe " Scarletta " it has some lovely red leaves on it at the moment also it,s an evergreen

And lastly I bought a Euphorbia Amygdaloides Purpurea

It dosn,t look very handsome at the moment but i,m sure it will when it starts to grow ..

Everything was still half price except the Plum tree they only had 10 % off , so another very rewarding day ……..

Hi what a great, fun place not like my boring local centre - I have a Leucothoe 'scarletta' from which I have recently got cuttings to take, I'm feeling very proud of myself! - The shrub always gives me great pleasure all year round although it does grow very rapidly so keep an eye. -enjoy.

Sounds like you had a really good day. I like the lorry - someone with a lovely sense of humour and an eye for publicity.

Oh i do love a bargain Amy, looks like you got a few. and yes very good Delboy and Rodney, something not likely to forget, which is always a good thing when in business, i remeber seeing a van for a building company, the guys running it were Indian, and there company logo was 'you've been disapointed by the cowboys...so why not give the Indians a go' something i have remebered - so effecitve advertising!
