The president of our horticultural club is the owner of 2 large furniture stores in Norfolk , he moved into a renovated barn complex a few months ago , a beautiful place .

He invited the club along and challenged us to design his garden the winner was to win £50 ..

Today we went to a show where the winner was to be announced .. it was me , he is using my design , isn’t that great ,I couldn’t believe it , I’m so looking forward to seeing his garden layed out the way I could see it …

The envelope with my £50 in it ~~ now what shall I buy ~ which garden centre shall I go to

I’m afraid you can’t see very much detail on this rough copy the area towards the bottom is garages with gravel surround and as I said the view over the valley couldn’t be spoilt ..note the bottle of wine on the patio table at the bottom next to the Ha Ha wall !

The planning was quite difficult because it looks out over the valley with a Ha Ha wall at the end , there was no way that you could spoil that view , you had to make the most of it ........

Thank you Sheila it's not quite the real thing but it does give you the general idea , I put mostly trouble free perennials in as he is a busy man and doesn't need to be changing annuals each season it was probably the bottle of wine that won him over ;o)
Thanks Scotsgran I'm going to do that ,a little bit of luxury ! Thanks Val , I'm looking forward to seeing it 'real' as well :o)

LOL.. I had to put a few Cyclamen in the grass for autumn colour Brian , I've also told him the summerhouse should be a one of those posh revolving ones so that he is able to make the most of his fantastic landscape view day and night :o)) I'm afraid a lot of the detail can't be seen on this rough copy .......

1 Nov, 2011

Glad I've returned in time to add my congratulations to all the rest, Amy. Well done, I can imagine how excited you must be. Enjoy the spend up :)

1 Nov, 2011

Gosh, Amy - a revolving summerhouse!!! That would be amazing, given a view. Wonder if it will materialise? Think he got off lightly with a £50 prize, lol!

Brian's "salivas" leave me "drooling" (just jesting). :-)

You are right - it's wonderful when you see your own ideas being taken onboard and turned into a reality. :-))
