Our beautiful Puss cat Marmy ( Marmalade ) has been ill on and off for some time but she has always managed to bounce back with some TLC .
On Wednesday she had a stroke but appeared to be rallying round, the vet said give her a day to see how it goes .
I’m afraid today was one day to much for her , she has gone , we miss her so much ,the house seems strangely empty without her .
She has had a wonderful life and lived to the grand old age of 22 …
I will be having a few days away from Goy to recover from our sadness …x

What a loss, Amy. Pets become so much more to you than just a pet - they become part of you and you feel as bad and unhappy when they pass away as if a person had gone. So sad that our lovely animal friends can't live much longer lives. As a cat lover who has had many cats depart this world for one reason or another, I really do feel for you - if you have any other pets they will miss her too, I'm sure. So sorry.

Don't be surprised if in a few days or so you feel her presence close by. After we lost our cat "Boots" (so called because he was so heavy footed that you could hear him anywhere in the house) I was chopping some onions for a dish and whenever I did this Boots would appear from nowhere because he knew chopped onions usually meant mince meat was being cooked, his favourite treat, when I heard his meow and felt him tugging at my skirt as he always did. Looking down expecting him to be there, but of course he had passed on almost a week earlier at the good old age of 18. Spooky, but true for all you sceptics.

So sorry Amy for your sad loss. You have 22yrs of beautiful memories of Marmalade to keep with you forever.
I understand the heartache, as we went through it last year losing one of our dogs, and then losing the other one at Christmas.
Our hearts feel for you. Thinking of you, and sending you a big hug. x

Thank you Penny , we miss so many things about Marmy , for instance there's no little furry figure waiting at the gate when we come home pleased to see us ,things like that !
Your Tabby was a good age as well , it feels as though they have always been there and you expect that they always will be ..:o(

Thanks you for your kindness Lori and Tet , we know she had a happy life with us , there was never any danger of roads or cars even so she hardly ever ventured out of the garden to the fields she was content just to be with us , yes she was spoilt , she had a few prawns everyday as a treat , we gave her a few when she was a kitten to temp her when she wasn't very well , I'm afraid that was it she expected them every day after that .. :o)

LOL...that's a great part of the joy they give us, isn't it?
My hubby used to spoil Mandy with cubes of steak, and she also loved shrimp...He'd hand feed her and croon.."Who loves ya, baby?" lol....and he always maintains that Mandy was my dog!

My Hubby was the same Lori ,he always said Marmy was my cat but she couldn't wait to snooze on his lap every evening ...
Thanks Kathy , we are both going through a rough patch it's like losing a much loved family member isn't it , you can only hold them and cuddle them to help them through it to the end , I'm sure they must know how much we loved and cared for them , take one day at a time xx
