Many thanks for all your good wishes before we set off on our holiday

We are back from our travels ,and have bought a present for everyone ( see I didn,t forget Truds ) only one each though or there won,t be enough to go round .

We,ve seen and done so many fantastic things ,I can,t possibly bore you with all of it .
I will mention a few that come to mind ;
A church in Mons ,situated on a hill with a golden chariot inside ,weighing several tons, every Trinity Sunday the local people using their own strength ,push it down into the town , apparently there is much drinking going on at this time ….. I can imagine !!…
The Notre-Dame Cathedral in Amiens …Wonderful.. not forgetting Little Venice and it,s memorable waterways ,and FOOD .
The fortified town at Le Quesnay ..amazing ..
The Dragons Lair , an underground bunker which the Germans held for 4yrs. in WW1 . it was so cold that we were sent back for our coats before we were allowed down .
The Dwarf " Tortuosa " Beech trees ,fascinating, at Les Faux de Verzy, There are 1000 of these in a forest ,it,s the only place in the world that they grow ,even the scientist are baffled .
The Citadel and cable car at Dinants , the pretty villages awash with tubs of flowers , the Champagne vineyards ,
I give up,….. there,s just to much to tell , I would need to write a book .
Suffice to say the food and wine was excellant.
We lost our car keys once , but that,s another story .
My time will now be taken up with visiters from New Zealand ,
It will take me some time to catch up with you all .
I feel as though i,m on a roundabout and I want to get off .
best wishes to you all x
