Hello. We use the "like" counts on each photo to determine which photos show on the front page and also to order photos when you are browsing by popularity. "I have gone off this photo" is in case you wanted to take away a "like" you had given a photo.

Hello. Yes, we thought it would be more popular too. But, we don't want to force an issue (we promoted the feature quite heavily early on) and it appears members are exchanging plants more informally via private message on the website. As with all things on this website we like to develop the bits that are actually used further. We have a long list :)

Hello. Yes. Consider each blog entry as a single journal entry. So create a new one every time you have something new to say.

It looks like you managed to me Amy. All photos always appear on your photos tab. You can then link them to plants in your garden (the My Garden section) or to blog entries (this does not create a new copy of the photo just a link to it).

Do you have a zoom lens or did it let you get that close?

Hello. If you click on your photo you will see a "Edit photo details" link to the right (ish) of the photo. In the edit photo screen you will be able to link your photo to an item in your garden using the "Link photo to a plant in your garden?" option. Just click submit when you are done. Hope this helps.

We love to get suggestions. Secretly behind the scenes we are hoping to give each member some individual controls over what and how they view new content on Grows on You via their "news" page but this is still very much in development so keep those suggestions coming. PS. please don't hold back on uploading photos :)

Spritz, we can only remember you on one computer. Technically speaking we set a "cookie" and will set another one if you log on from another machine which will then over write the first one.

Hi. Andrew is spot on. If you have selected the little "remember me" box when you log in we will not make you log in for the next 30 days. Beyond 30 days members tend to forget their original password and we get loads of emails. Guess we need to give this some more thought and I have put it on my list.

Wohlibuli - if you stick Fritillaria imperialis into the search box top left and move over to the Photos tab of the results you will see a couple of pics.

Sorry - we don't like to have any restrictions whatsoever on the photo upload and thought we had a generous file size limit but some of these new digital cameras are spitting out HUGE files. We will look into putting the file size limit up soon so you don't have to do any scaling before your upload.

We are ordering a new hard disk so we can store all your photos Jacque :) Just joking. Don't forget the camera as we would love to see them all. Have a great time.

Hi Bren. If you are logged in to Grows on You you will see a "Your homepage" link above. Click on that and you will see several options next to your user icon including "Add photos". Hope this helps.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, those are your photos (the names of the files you uploaded or the titles you set when you uploaded them). You don't have to include any photos in a blog post if you don't want. Just type a title, some text and away you go :)

Sorry guys. Been working on this all day. I think just (few minutes ago) managed to crack it. Hopefully things start to speed up now.

I feel for you Ken. Funnily enough I only started suffering from Hay fever 4 years ago when I moved from Leamington Spa to London. I would have thought it would have been the other way around. The air purifier didn't really do anything for me :( Loratadine tables are the only thing that works for me.
