Shiny new server - Upgrade complete

Grows on You is getting a present this morning. A shiny new server :)

We are basically doubling the size of everything (RAM, CPU etc.). As we speak all the data is being copied over. I thought this would be finished before everyone woke up this morning but it hasn’t.

Long and short of it. There will be a short blip in service this morning when we make the switch from the old server to the new one.

I will update this blog when it is all done. In the mean time a big thank you to all of you who support Grows on You and have helped it outgrow its existing server :)

Update 1: Doesn’t look like the switch will happen this morning. Will probably now be in the afternoon. Will keep you updated.

Update 2: Short downtime sometime over the next hour.

Update 3: Shiny new server is up :) Took 18minutes of downtime to copy the database over. Strap yourself in and give it a test. Please do let me know if you notice anything weird. Now with all the added capacity you have no excuse for not inviting all your friends to come and join Grows on You :)
