Upgrade of server - complete

Hello all,

If all goes to plan we will be moving Grows on You to a bigger server tonight. For all of you up in the middle of the night or across the world if you notice us down for a while you will know why.

Dont panic Hywel..no expert but think as GOY has wxpanded and become more popular,need more capacity.Should not affect members using it...just will be even more efficient...like updating our computers,if this makes sense.

The site might disappear for a short while but we'll be back as usual straight afterwards. We just wanted to let you know not to worry if you do notice anything strange happening.

Hi Peter and Ajay, is this affecting downloading of photos? Have just tried, and when I submit the pic its jamming me up and I have to come right off the site and then open up again.

Thanks Grenville. Doubled everything so that should see us well into 2009. It will be a nice problem to have if we need to upgrade again :)

Milky, I've noticed the same thing sometimes. I think it is happening when the site has a lot of people on it. Perhaps the switch to the new server will prevent this happening.
