well top end soft ever greens in the opp corner maybe a water fall or something along them lines not sure yet its a vast hole full of blackberrys at the moment so i see when its cleared . all lawned at the top no concert with stepping stones and arch to block off the gate / shed end . i got a greeenhouse 6by 8 which will go against that shed wall , down patio end thinking along the line of japanese look , white stones acers lamps ect not 100% sure of that yet its sorta make it up as i go along . i got 3 steps down to patio would love wooden bridge there although had thoughts that in winter everyone will end up sliding onto the patio ( cant help laughing at that thought ) . any ideas for my boarders ???

You have some great ideas. Borders can be shrubs, perennials and climbers. Things to consider are the size you want your beds to be, shade/light, soil, colour, winter interest, and if you want the fence to disappear? I go for beds 8-12ft deep with big tall shrubs to hide the fence in the back plus trees and perennials, perennials with specimen shrubs and trees in the front, give quite a different look. Evergreens come into their own in winter.
