About me

I am a retired man, My name Ron. I took early retirement when I was 55 yrs old. I had worked in the car industry for 40 yrs from when I was a boy of 15yrs. Since retiring I have been making wooden toys, which I have sold through Craft Fairs etc. Although I have not been doing so much lately as I have been heavily involved in playing bowls which I have done for 23 yrs I have 4 grandchildren who more than keep me busy. My wife and I live in a 3 bedroomed terrace house with a medium sized garden 55' x 21' approx. and an even smaller front garden. I am very interested in wildlife, and I am always on the lookout for butterflies and insects which on discovering I try to photograph. Some of these which I hope to share with you on my members page in the near future. My favourite flower is the Fuschia of which I have quite a few in pots, baskets and planters on my small terrace as you can see in my photo's
