I know that the Forestry Commission is very concerned about the Rhodo, as are the National Trust and the National Parks! They are having a go at getting rid of it.

The cute little puppy in my photo was our Jack Russell about two years before she died, aged about 16! We still miss her 18 months on.

As they are evergreen, you can move it at any time really, now would be a good time while the soil is still warm. Yes, it will need lots of watering as if it were a new shrub.

Your picture shows a Centaurea montana. What would you like to know about it? I've got this (and the white version) so I may be able to help.

Oh dear, yet another person with Busy Lizzie problems! I am sorry to tell you that it seems to be the bad weather that is causing it. Unless the sun comes out for a good long time, no, there's no cure. You are NOT alone!

I use Ant traps which I buy from DIY or Garden Centres. These do seem to work.

Oh Kev - that certainly wouldn't work on my grass! It would kill me for a start as there's SOOOO much of it! Maybe Coachman's lawn is smaller....But there must be another answer?? Does anybody know?

I had to go out this afternoon and wondered what month it was. It's more like the end of October. There were leaves falling everywhere and heavy rain and dark clouds. More like a winter's night than a summer's afternoon ! Also I cant remember such high winds for so long a time.

if it wasnt so close to your fence I would suggest building a lovely big bonfire over the stump, but maybe thats not such a good idea

What do you grow them up? This year, my husband made me a tall wooden obelisk which gave my sweet peas lots of room to grow upwards - and they all had long stems! I don't know if this is the answer, but it has worked really well and I've never had such good sweet peas before!

angie have you read earlier questions on caterpillars - people have suggested fleese and nets over your veg in spring so that butterflies lay on nasturtians instead.
