Have you ever used the fungus as trail markers...? (ex: "don't go this way..dead end") or "watch your step!" lol. you can write messages on the underside with a twig...!

Thick, sweetsmelling, and soft to the foot...the very best carpet can't compare.. How I would love some of that in my garden...but don't have the climate... not enough moisture!

In Central Florida, Orlando. I just love it here, although the humidity can be a bit much sometimes. I think the only other place I would live would be Spain, where the sun shines as much as it does here.

My sister used to live on Vancouver Island and told many a tale of the strange and wonderful British Columbia nature... I myself was surprised at the size of Maple leaves... a foot across... and the descriptions she would give of the temperate rain forest, and the miles of logging roads... other relatives have supplied photos of the beaches and the trails from the northern tip of VI down the coastal beaches... a long trek with camping gear along stretches of shoreline that are still and mysterious one minute and battered by shrieking gales the next... a wondrous, amazing place...Hope to see it again.
