Norfolk is a beautiful area with big wide skies. I think it's fantastic. These hills can be somewhat gloomy at times - they seem to draw lots of clouds and rain. but they have fantastic views.

What a great view. We live in "very flat Norfolk" although North Norfolk is a bit hilly (but not like this). But...we do have amazing skies.

Welcome - it really is a supportive site.
I haven't seen any comment from Bonkers to defend themselves! Are they plotting something?

Thanks Flcrazy, the woman i bought it from said that it is a new dwarf variety that only grows to approx 18" but my plant was missing a lable, and i can't remeber what she said it was called, its not in any of the books i have, which would make sense if it is a new one, my books are all over 5 years old, lol, so i tell you what, a favour for a favour - if you really want one of these i may be able to help you out. i bought this one off my local market, it's only a small plant, so would be easy to post. they had loads of them last week when i bought it. living so close to London a lot of the local markets get plants from New covent garden wholesale market, everything comes in direct from holland so we are usually first to get anything new into the UK i think it was only about £2 - £3 to buy so if you like next time i go (proberly wednesday next week) i will see if she has anymore, and get one for you. i have no idea what it would cost to send to you, but it would be easy enough to find out if you send me your address on a private message. but i do sell on ebay in the uk quite a bit so i could wrap it up well enought to survive the journey. and i have a paypal account so it would be easy for you to send me what ever it costs to send to you. let me know if you would like me to try and get you one. regards Angela.

My brother phoned from Tenerife last night - sitting in just his shorts at 10pm with a temperature of 25C in the day and 21C at night. He now lives there and wouldn't want to come back to England. He tried to encourage us to retire there with him but when we visited we found it depressingly arid and rocky. We were glad to get back to our "green and pleasant land"!

We love V. bonariensis too. It seeds all over the place and we keep "weeding" it up and passing it on to family and friends. This is a lovely photo.
