Sounds as if your cold came in useful then, to blame a grumpy mood on, lol.
Looks a good show from your pictures, glad you didn't get much rain.

Blodyn i've not seen any information about this slug, yet, other than what i read at GOY. I hope to get my entry forms in for the shows in the next day or two, and plan to get some pictures.
Hope i don't break a leg, lol.
I certainly plan to enjoy Tatton Park, i've not visited that show before. After that i shall be working on the shows i'm entering myself.
Always enjoy reading comments from everyone at GOY, (very supportive and encouraging).
No other site with such friendly members, (i have looked over a few, but don't often bother now although i am a member of a few).

Certainly you can keep the tubers, they can be left in the ground if your soil is well drained so that they dont rot, but to be on the safe side its perhaps best to lift them. Dig them up, allow them to dry & remove the soil residue then store them in a dry, dark place (a box maybe in the shed) some people store them in their house. Then start them off again in spring. Trim any thin weak roots off leaving plump healthy tubers. Start them off in a tray of shallow compost, up to (but not covering the crown), keep them moist & before long they will start producing shoots which you can take as cuttings to pot on & wait for more shoots before planting the whole tubers.
This year I took 8 cuttings from 3 B.of Llandaff tubers which are now garden ready & the tubers are now planted in the garden & doing great so give it a go.

Thank you for sharing these fantastic experiences.
We only have to worry about the frogs and the huge toad in our garden, and ensure they are kept safe, although we saw a fully grown Badger amble past the house several years ago.
We also have several urban Foxes that can be seen occasionally even though we are only three miles from the city centre.
What a fabulous range of wildlife you must have.It sounds wonderful.

It is a lovely color but unfortunately lacks the wonderful aroma that my original one has. That one is just coming into bloom now.

I have a song sparrow who goes in this throughout the day. It is such a joy to watch him splash around .

I don't think it will branch without some help.I had one that just got taller and taller so I chopped the top off and then it made several branches. I also cut the stem up and planted sections and got several plants. Apparently some people plant several in a pot so it looks multi-stemmed. You can also plant the top part you cut off. Good luck!

Its got the wow factor!!!
Well done, the textures and shades of red are lovely with the touch of white just to take some of the 'heat and fire' away. Perfect for bringing an exotic theme to the garden.
I'm pleased that you found my Blog helpful.
All best wishes,
Grenville.

Agh - tragedy Michaella, but presumably they'll bulk up over the years. And yes, it is a great idea Janette - especially if space is limited - I don't know how many years it takes to get them like this though.

Glad you had a good day.The photos are lovely, and as you stated, the show is huge----- we had to be very selective about what we wanted to see when we last visited Hampton Court. Unfortunately we were unable to get to see the show this year although I thought the highlights were interesting on television, but its much better seeing the 'real thing'.
I agree that it is a garden show for gardeners.
