Hello lovelly people, I hope you had good holidays.

Our Holidays were busy working and having good time.

I am not doing much gardening, it’s so cold out there but Iooks like my flowers and plant are coping well enough.

Right now, all I’m doing outside is breaking the ice in the bird bath and scraping it off the greenhouse! The apple trees will have to wait for pruning till it gets a bit warmer.

I like this site and still have big plans for putting lots of info about my plants and garden here – I was looking for something to help me get organised and I like the people here, you have made me feel welcome.

love
Ualda

Good morning Ualda
Happy New Year to you too, nice to hear from you.
It has not been too bad here as I have been able to go into the garden everyday just to say hello to fish and plants lol.
I agree that this is a very friendly site, and have kept me company over the holidays, as I like to see gardening people are still talking about garden, holiday or not. Well! I look forward to seeing your garden pictures soon.

Happy New Year from me too, Ualda.
Yup, providing for the birds and maintaining a hole in the ice for the fish pond is all I have been doing outside. I intend to take some photos before the winter wonderland scenes disappear and maybe cut down a couple of dead almond trees if I cannot persuade my son and his mates to do it for me.
However, there are one or two gardening tasks that can be done indoors. I intend to follow instructions, found on GoY last year, for making my own seed strips (they are in my calendar if anyone else is interested in trying it too) and I have yet to sow sweet peas in the toilet roll innerds that I have accrued. It wont be long before the seed potatoes have to be sourced and chitted too.

Hi Ualda - Happy New Year from me, as well.

All I am doing is the occasional check on my greenhouse feeding the poor birds and looking at seed catalogues! Oh, and trying to catch up on my Horticultural Course, too.
